Jesse Scoble
Writer, story editor, and game designer.
Also known by his alias King Artorius — is a Canadian writer, story editor, and game designer with over 20 years of experience shaping some of the biggest franchises in AAA games and tabletop RPGs.
Throughout his career, Scoble has helped define the creative direction, story development, and narrative tone for major studios and beloved titles across the industry. His areas of expertise include story and IP development, scriptwriting, audio direction, narrative design, and leadership of narrative teams.
At Ubisoft Montreal, Scoble contributed as a writer to several flagship titles, including Watch Dogs 2 (2016), Assassin’s Creed Origins (2017), Far Cry 5 (2018), Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (2018), and served as Lead Writer for Hyper Scape (2020).
Before joining Ubisoft, Scoble worked at KingsIsle Entertainment, where he served as Creative Design Lead and Senior Content Designer on Wizard101, one of the world’s most popular family-friendly MMOs. During his tenure, he wrote for all the worlds of Arc 2 — from Zafaria (2011) through Khrysalis Part 2 (2014) — and continued contributing as a writer and designer for Polaris (2015) and Mirage (2016).
Earlier in his career, Scoble was Creative Director at Guardians of Order, where he helped create several acclaimed tabletop RPGs, including El-Hazard: The Role-Playing Game (2001), Silver Age Sentinels (2002), and the award-winning A Game of Thrones Role-Playing Game (2005). He has also written extensively for White Wolf and contributed to over two dozen published books, including short story anthologies based on Silver Age Sentinels.
Scoble’s work also spans digital storytelling. At NCsoft, he wrote and edited web fiction for major online titles such as City of Heroes, Dungeon Runners, and Exteel.
